The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have a proven winning coach in Paul Johnson at the helm now. Johnson will pull off his first upset with the program Saturday as the Jackets take on Boston College. The Golden Eagles’ offense is absolutely putrid, and that’s the reason they won’t be able to overcome this 7-point spread. Johnson’s option-based spread offense got off to a nice start with a 41-14 win over Jacksonville State last week. With one game under the players’ belts in this system, expect Georgia Tech to be even more efficient offensively in week 2 Saturday. Boston College managed to score just 21 points at Kent State last week, showing how badly they miss QB Matt Ryan. BC has only 6 starters back on offense, and only four on defense. The Golden Eagles lost three second-team all-conference defensive players from last year. Georgia Tech is 15-5 ATS in the first two weeks of the season since 1992.
