In the AFC East we have the New England Patriots running away with this division. Key additions on defense plus the addition of Randy Moss on offense will make this team a force to be reckoned with. Lawrence Maroney will have a breakout year without having to split time with Corey Dillon in the backfield. There just isn’t enough competition in this division to bet against the Patriots. Baltimore will take down the AFC North division with their usual stingy defense and an offense that can finally produce points. Willis McGahee will make all the difference at running back this season.

The AFC South will be won by the Indianapolis Colts, just like it has for several seasons in a row now. Peyton Manning has that Super Bowl ring and the numbers might be even better with a few key additions in the passing game. That sound scary but it’s probably true. Jacksonville will give them a run and likely snag a wild card berth. The AFC West is up for grabs between San Diego and Denver, but there is no way we are going against the Chargers. They are too talented and Philip Rivers has the year of experience he needs to be even more effective this season. Their defense is one of the best in the league. San Diego will be more hungry knowing that they had a great chance to win it all last year and let it slip away. Denver will get the wild card berth though.

Dallas will rise to the top of the NFC East with Philadelphia, New York and Washington all being in the wild card race until the last few games of the season. Dallas seems to like where the coaches are leading them with players having nothing but good things to say this season. Tony Romo is playing to get that big contract he has hoped for and you can expect a big season out of him. The Chicago Bears will run away with the NFC North in a landslide with no other team from this division even smelling a playoff berth. 7-9 seasons out of either Green Bay, Minnesota or Detroit would be an accomplishment with how terrible these rosters are.

In the NFC South the New Orleans Saints will repeat with the division crown. Carolina should edge out a wild card berth with at least a 9-7 season behind a very hungry team. This veteran ball club knows their chances are slipping away and Carolina should have a solid 2007 campaign because of it. In the NFC West we are taking a sleeper in the Arizona Cardinals to run wild at the top of this division. Nobody is giving the Cardinals any credit here, but their offense is the best in this division. They lost numerous close games last season and year of experience will go a long ways in helping the Cardinals to figure out how to finish games. St. Louis and Seattle will be fighting for a wild card berth and we feel the Seahawks’ experience will prevail once again. The San Francisco 49ers will be left in the dust. These are out 2007 NFL Predictions in each respective division.
